Python Job: Senior Python Developer

We are looking for a knowledgeable Python Developer to help the AT&T Alien Labs security team design the next generation of threat protection and security software and research new malware threats as they appear.
As a Python Developer, you are part of a small and innovative team that discovers and disseminates cyber threat intelligence. It is important that you are a team player with a solid knowledge of the existing security landscape and a driving passion for finding new threats.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Keep current and knowledge on APT’s and new malware
• Design new methods of detecting malware and TTPs
• Review new threats and design new methods for discovering them in the wild
• Use current tools and write new tools to extract indicators from malware
• Design and implement new innovative products that enhance the existing tool suite and product family
• Stay current on the latest tools for security and malware research

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 4+ years of Python experience.
• 7+ years software development.
• 2+ years cloud infrastructure experience (preferably AWS but also Azure, OpenStack, etc.) and containerized environments (Docker).
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and building / consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems.
• Strong data analysis skills leveraging various technologies.
• Self-starter, with a strong work ethic and ability to excel as part of a geographically diverse team.
• Comfortable with Agile development practices, unit tests, and code reviews.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED (Pluses):

• Full stack development experience.
• Experience with Big Data Technologies.
• Experience in building single page applications.
• Strong background in solving concurrency and horizontal scalability problems.
• Experience with high throughput, scalable, systems.
• Knowledge of enterprise security/threat intelligence/threat detection.
• Network security.
• Application security.
• Continuous Integration for Agile Development.
